Manual wheelchairs for children and adolescents

What is important when choosing a wheelchair for children and young people?

Our goal is to create solutions that provide stability, safety, and security for all users of our wheelchairs..

Some of our users have faced challenges with sitting, crawling, and walking, or general body stability issues from the very beginning of their lives. They may never have been able to sit or stand on their own, but children and young users still have a desire to explore the world around them – and we need to help them do that.

As a wheelchair manufacturer, we must do our best to:

  • Optimize users' ADL (Activities of Daily Living)
  • Help them be as active as possible
  • Ensure they can spend time with friends and family in the best possible way

For children and young users, this is an absolute necessity.

But what is important when choosing a wheelchair for children and young people? What brings joy to life?

The answer to this question can vary greatly. For some children, it's the ability to propel the chair themselves. For others, it's extra support for the upper body so they can sit for longer periods. For some, it's simply the ability to sit and go out to experience the world. Common wishes among all children include:

  • Self-determination
  • Freedom
  • Time with friends and family
