Do it yourself

Most people understand everyday life, things which recur daily and they don´t think about them because they are physically able to do them. Dressing and undressing are obvious examples, as well as brushing thier teeth and shopping. People with restricted mobility however, cannot automatically do these and other tasks. On the contrary, they represent activities which are time-consuming, arduous and sometimes even no longer feasible. That is because they require flexibility of movement and strength.

The problem can be as simple as trying to drink from a bottle which cannot be opened with only one hand. Or having to carry a shopping bag which is too heavy for a weakened arm. There are a multitude of such examples which illustrate how disabled people often become dependent on others to carry out simple, everyday tasks.
